Liners Manufacturing
In an environment of extreme pressure and temperature that exists in the latest high-performance turbo diesel engine, only a high-density homogeneous structure of material results in an excellent performance of liners. The micro-relief on the working surface of the cylinder sleeve is smoothened through a meticulous honing method, assuring a precise mating surface for the piston and its rings. The even relief prolongs the service life of the overall engine because it reduces oil consumption and minimizes frictional force by creating a lesser blow-by.
Liners with a range of dimensions between 60 and 300 millimeters, including wet and dry types; roughcast o/d liners for lightweight aluminum engines; machined press fit or slip fit liners. The following is a selection of the available designs:
